Welcome to SoarDrop. This Privacy Policy explains how "SoarDrop" (hereinafter "we", "us", or "our") handles user information when you use our completely offline Android application ("App").
Our core principle is user privacy. SoarDrop is designed to function entirely offline, operating locally on your devices without an internet connection.
2. Data Collection and Usage
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or files to our servers or any third parties.
All operations handled by the App, including file transfers (photos, videos, and other documents), are conducted locally between your Android device and the connecting device (such as a PC or iPhone) via a local Wi-Fi Hotspot (LocalOnlyHotspot) created by the App.
3. App Permissions
To provide the core functionality of local file transfer, the App requests the following permissions. These are strictly used locally and are not used to collect data:
- Storage / Media Permissions (e.g., READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO): Required to allow you to select and transfer photos and videos from your device.
- Network / Wi-Fi state & Nearby Devices (NEARBY_WIFI_DEVICES): Required to create and manage the temporary local Wi-Fi network that facilitates the fast transfer between your devices.
- Location Permission (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION): Depending on your Android version, the Android operating system requires Location permissions to enable and manage Wi-Fi connections/hotspots. We do not track, collect, or store your physical location.
4. Data Sharing
Since we do not collect any data, we do not share, sell, or rent any personal data to third parties.
5. Security
File transfers happen securely over a direct local Wi-Fi connection. Your files are not routed through the public internet or any cloud services. Once the transfer session finishes and the Wi-Fi hotspot is turned off, the connection is thoroughly terminated.
